Lamine Yamal Makes a Decision, Destination Banned. Laporta Knows and Applauds: 'impossible'

The young star of FC Barcelona targets a forbidden destination: he doesn't plan to go there throughout his entire career.

Lamine Yamal has consistently shown that he doesn't mince words despite being only 17 years old. The Barça star's contract ends in 2026, and much is being said about his renewal, something all parties take for granted, but negotiations are still ongoing. Speaking to Mundo Deportivo about his future, besides wanting to stay with the team he loves, the Spaniard has also made it clear that he has a forbidden destination.

The forbidden destination for Lamine Yamal is none other than Real Madrid, a club he never wants to play for. Asked in Mundo Deportivo if Florentino Pérez made him an offer to play there, his response was blunt: "Impossible, not there". These words have reached the ears of Joan Laporta, who couldn't be happier with what the young player said, applauding his unexpected statements.

One of the biggest fears in these situations is that your star player might be tempted to join your biggest rival. In a time of economic difficulties, Lamine Yamal has already made it clear that he doesn't intend to accept money from a Real Madrid that keeps a close eye on him. Although there hasn't been any movement, as happened years ago with Messi, Florentino Pérez remains very alert.

For some time now,  it has been said at Real Madrid that Lamine Yamal's father is a fan of the white team... something that hasn't been confirmed. Despite this, the young Barça star has no intention of playing there. His love for the blaugrana colors is total, and he only thinks about renewing his contract and wearing the '10' starting next season.

Laporta Has Lamine Yamal's Renewal on Track

Lamine Yamal will earn between 7 and 8 million euros net per season, securing a new contract and becoming the most valued player at FC Barcelona. The confidence in the 17-year-old forward is total at Barça, and the plan is for him to become the spearhead of the project in the coming years. Such is the confidence demonstrated by the figures he will earn.

All parties are clear that the union between Lamine Yamal and Barça must continue. There is mutual interest, and the new bond will be signed as soon as he is of legal age. Everyone knew his potential, but his early breakthrough has made the figures he will earn higher than initially expected.

In any case, there will be no problem with his renewal, and Laporta's plan is to announce it as soon as he turns 18. New contract, higher salary, a 1 billion euro release clause to make it impossible to sign him, and a long-term bond.
