João Félix has become Al-Nassr's star and completely unexpected signing this summer. One year after leaving for Chelsea, with a loan to Milan in between, the Portuguese footballer has changed clubs again, moving permanently to Saudi Arabia. He did so for an initial transfer fee of around €30 million, but it could reach €50 million if the add-ons are met.
Al-Nassr hasn't stopped there and wants to keep working on strengthening its squad during this August. Among its targets is a FC Barcelona player, highly sought-after and with whom João Félix has personally been in contact in recent days. The interest goes back a long way, but now the Saudis are using the former Barça player to try to convince him.

Receives the call from João Félix
In recent weeks, Andreas Christensen has been tempted with a major offer from Saudi Arabia. Al-Nassr has considered him to strengthen its defensive line in light of the imminent departure of Laporte. The Danish defender's contract ends in 2026 and, for now, there are no negotiations for an extension, making his sale this summer a very real possibility.
Al-Nassr's financial offer is hard to match, but the reality is that Christensen has many doubts. He doesn't see himself playing in Saudi Arabia and would like to stay at Barça to try to convince Hansi Flick. He isn't untouchable by any means and could leave if a good offer comes in, although right now everything is uncertain.
Given the current situation, Al-Nassr has chosen to use João Félix as a trump card to try to convince him. They know each other from the season the Portuguese spent on loan in Barcelona and their relationship is very good. "Come with me, we'll have a good time," he has told him privately.
Future in doubt
At the moment, Andreas Christensen's future at Barcelona is completely uncertain. He is a well-regarded defender internally, but his situation makes him a candidate to leave.

He is 29 years old and the club doesn't want to renew his contract, which ends in 2026. For some time now, Al-Nassr has been fighting for his transfer and Barça is open to letting him go. But the Danish footballer is determined to stay, trying to convince Hansi Flick and believing he can even win back his starting spot.
It won't be easy for him, because there is a lot of competition in the defensive line, but Christensen is clear: right now, he only considers staying at Barça.
