Bombshell in Italy, from Milan to Barça: Hot Transfer, not Rafael Leao

He doesn't want to renew his contract with Milan and his possible arrival at Barça is being discussed: Deco, alert.

Barça are keeping an eye on any type of operation that the market may bring. It seems that, in the last few hours, an option that had been echoing has opened up for them. We are talking about Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, who doesn't want to renew his contract and who would like to leave sooner rather than later.

'Sport' has reported that Reijnders was a move that Barça had already considered a couple of seasons ago, when they were still playing in the Dutch league. At that time, Tijjani Reijnders preferred to go for Milan, believing that he wouldn't have as many chances of playing at the blaugrana team.

In the midst of negotiations to try to get a better contract, it seems that the positions of both parties remain distant and Reijnders is beginning to think about his possible exit. He is reportedly interested in two teams. Apart from Barça, he is also closely followed by Manchester City, willing to pay him a lot of money.

It seems that Barça's interest in Tijjani Reijnders is strong, although the reality is that it's complicated. The club is going through a time in which it's thinking only and exclusively about its youth system. The arrival of the talented Dutch player would cut the wings of players of the stature of Casadó or Marc Bernal.

Tijjani Reijnders rejected Barça

Martin, Tijjani Reijnders' father, has explained this on occasion. In 2023, Barça was firmly interested in transfer him, but they had doubts about his playing time.

"Only with Barça did I speak directly to Deco, the sporting director. I even checked his profile picture to make sure it was really him," Reijnders' father said.

In this regard, Barça held serious talks with him, but they ended in nothing. They were looking for a replacement for Busquets, who had just announced his departure for Miami.

"I told him: 'You're not that kind of player'. Before you know it, you end up on the bench. And you're just another footballer who fails abroad," argued Tijjani Reijnders' father, who was instrumental in the failure of the operation.

The story could be different now for a more experienced Reijnders who would arrive at the Catalan team... with a highly valued experience in the elite and the possibility of giving balance to the squad. The Dutchman is valued at around 30 million euros, being a player who has attracted a lot of attention from Deco in recent times.
