Hansi Flick Requests His Transfer and the Reply Knocks Him Out: 'It's a Bad Time'

The German coach wants to reinforce the team with this player's addition but he has sent a clear message to Barça

European soccer continues to bring news that captures fans' attention. One of the most recent involves Barça's coach Hansi Flick, who reportedly pointed to Angelo Stiller as a key player for the future. However, the reply from the young German midfielder made it clear that he isn't interested in a change, at least for now.

Interest in Angelo Stiller

Angelo Stiller, a 23-year-old midfielder playing for VfB Stuttgart, has been linked with several top-tier teams, including F.C. Barcelona. According to reports, Flick recommended his transfer, highlighting his ability to organize the game and a style similar to Toni Kroos's.

Lothar Matthäus, a German soccer legend, also supported this idea, noting that Stiller "could leave his mark on Barcelona." Despite the speculation, the player was adamant in dismissing any move for the moment.

"Naturally, you can hear some speculation about a change. Sometimes I'm asked about it, even within our locker room, but the topic doesn't concern me. It's a bad time to worry about this," he stated in an interview with the newspaper Bild.

His Commitment to Stuttgart

Stiller made it clear that his priority is Stuttgart, a team with which he has a contract until 2027. "I'm at Stuttgart and that's my only goal," he affirmed. He also highlighted the affection he feels for the fans and the club: "I feel everyone's appreciation here; that's the most important thing for me."

The young midfielder, who has already been drafted three times by Germany, doesn't rule out that new opportunities may arise in the future. However, he also warned about the risks of speaking too soon: "Soccer is incredibly fast. You have to be careful with what you say."

Comparison with Toni Kroos

The comparison with Toni Kroos, one of Germany's most outstanding midfielders, has been inevitable. Stiller admitted that his playing style is similar to the 2014 World Cup champion's, but stated that replacing Kroos is impossible.

"No one can replace Toni Kroos. For me, he's the best German player of all time. If the national coach entrusts me with his role, of course, I'd be happy," he commented.

A Promising Future

Stiller has proven to be one of the emerging figures in German soccer. Trained in Bayern Munich's youth academy, he had a stint at TSG Hoffenheim before establishing himself at Stuttgart. His vision of the game, defensive capability, and ability to distribute the ball make him a very complete player.

Despite the expectations, his current focus is clear: to continue growing at Stuttgart and help the team achieve its goals. Meanwhile, clubs like Barcelona will have to wait if they wish to secure his services in the future.
