Hansi Flick reactivates Barça's first signing for summer: historic theft from Bayern

Even though they took his signing by Bayern for granted, Flick asks to reactivate talks and is willing to wait

The first season of Hansi Flick at Barça has concluded with a national treble: League, Cup, and Super Cup. In the coming days, his contract extension until 2027 will be announced, signing for one more year than he had. The German has landed on his feet in the capital of Catalonia and wants to stay for a long time at Camp Nou, but now he is asking for signings and the ability to fully shape a squad to his liking.

Hansi Flick is asking for changes for the next season and, now that the competition has officially ended, he has asked Deco to make certain signings. One is Jonathan Tah, whom he has requested again after several weeks with everything stalled. In this regard, Bayern seems to have taken the lead when FC Barcelona had an agreement, but the center-back is willing to make an effort and wait.

Jonathan Tah: Hansi Flick negotiates his "betrayal" to Bayern

In recent days, from Germany, a total agreement between Bayern and Jonathan Tah for the next season has already been assumed. He also has another "verbal" one with FC Barcelona, but it can't be finalized yet because 'fair play' issues need to be solved.

Jonathan Tah, despite having a deal with Bayern, has not yet fully decided his future, according to Mundo Deportivo. He is willing to wait "a bit more" for Barça to clarify their 'fair play' situation. If the blaugrana club manages it, Tah has indicated it as his priority, intending to play in Spain and leave Germany.

Hansi Flick is urging FC Barcelona, but he knows it will be very complicated. The situation doesn't seem to be clearing up soon, and Jonathan Tah can't wait much longer. He has given a margin still to be clarified, but everything indicates that there will not be enough time.

Jonathan Tah, pending several things

Not only does 'fair play' jeopardize Tah's arrival at FC Barcelona. Also on the table is the future of one of the first team's captains, Ronald Araújo.

It is not entirely clear what will happen with the Uruguayan for the next season. He renewed in winter until 2031, but included a release clause in his contract. For 60 million euros he can leave, he is not crucial for Hansi Flick and has several teams behind him. If he were to leave, Jonathan Tah would be his replacement, but it doesn't seem there will be enough time to finalize everything...
