Farewell to La Roja: Íñigo Martínez and Casadó, KO. This is the Extent of Their Injuries

Both left injured from the Metropolitano and are out of Spain's squad for the match against the Netherlands

Bad news for FC Barcelona. In Madrid, there is a lot of concern about the health and rest of Real Madrid players. Much less concern is given to Marc Casadó leaving the Metropolitano injured.

Two Months Without Casadó

He will be out for a couple of months. His external lateral ligament is affected, and tests are being conducted this morning to determine if the tear is total or partial.

In the 24th minute of yesterday's Atlético-Barça match, Casadó went to clear a ball. Griezmann came down on him, and Casadó was left lying on the grass complaining. Griezmann didn't understand anything and took it as if the Barça player was faking it.

But Casadó wasn't acting. His external lateral ligament was giving a serious warning. But Casadó continued playing until the 67th minute.

Íñigo Martínez Also Left Injured

The competition within the team is so intense and the desire to play so strong that no one, not even Casadó, wants to miss a minute. It is the incentive of a team that smells like a champion... of many things.

Casadó's injury adds to that of Íñigo Martínez. According to the club's medical report, he suffers from a internal parameniscitis of the right knee.

Both players are out for the Nations League match that the Spanish national team will play against the Netherlands on March 20 in Rotterdam and on the 23rd in Valencia.

De la Fuente had drafted seven Barça players and one from Real Madrid, Raúl Asencio, as previously reported by MB.

Two Barça Absences in the National Team

Íñigo Martínez will be replaced by Huijsen. Casadó's replacement has not yet been released. Barça will continue to be represented in La Roja by Cubarsí, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, and Dani Olmo.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid fears for the health of their players, they benefit from their coach's lack of confidence in Spanish players. This way, they avoid their presence in the Spanish national team.

Only one. Barça, on the other hand, pays the consequences of the schedule but without using it as an excuse, as Carlo Ancelotti does.

It is also true that Barça doesn't need to resort to excuses from the top position in the table and without losing a single match since 2025 began.
