FC Barcelona have gone all in for Nico Williams, having identified him as the top option for the remainder of the transfer window. There is a full agreement with the Spanish forward for the next six seasons, with him accepting a salary of about seven million euros net for each of them. When the deal seemed completely off, the footballer himself spoke up, resuming negotiations and reviving an interest that had been lost.
In this regard, the only condition that Barça have set to reactivate this deal is that the terms remain the same as those agreed last year. This means that its release clause will be paid at LaLiga headquarters, covering those €58 million (58 million euros) plus CPI. He will have exactly the same salary he was going to receive upon his arrival last summer, with Nico Williams having rejected higher wages from Athletic Club, Bayern, or Chelsea.

Gerard Romero speaks up
Gerard Romero, journalist from "Jijantes", who is always well connected to Nico Williams's circle, is showing great optimism about the situation. In the latest live broadcast on his Twitch channel, a user asked him about the percentage he gives to the ongoing deal. Although he regretted it almost immediately, Romero replied: "98%".
It seems that, unlike last year, it is almost impossible for this deal to fall through. Nico Williams himself has "reopened" the wound to put his name on Deco's desk. In recent weeks, his agent, Félix Tainta, appeared in Barcelona to hold a direct meeting with the culer sporting director.
Among all the possibilities he had on the table, Nico Williams was clear that he wanted to know first if it was possible to sign for FC Barcelona.
Nico Williams rejects the rest
It has also emerged in recent hours from Germany that Nico Williams is already communicating his rejection to the other offers. This is the case with Bayern, a club that at times seemed best positioned to sign him.

With his top option of playing for Barça so far along, the Navarrese forward has decided to inform the others of his decision. The payment of his release clause will soon be activated and, now, once and for all, Nico Williams will be a new FC Barcelona player. The moment that seemed like it would never come is about to arrive...
