Gerard Piqué: Always Against Real Madrid

Gerard Piqué will always be remembered as one of the great legends of FC Barcelona. Since his return in 2008, from the powerful Manchester United, the Catalan center-back became an essential pillar of the best Barça in history, Guardiola's... and a symbol of pride for Barcelona fans.

Throughout his career, Piqué experienced unforgettable nights against Real Madrid, his favorite rival. His competitive nature, provocative personality, and leadership in defense made him a real headache for the White players in countless Clásicos. Every duel against Real Madrid was an extra motivation for him, and he always confessed that few things gave him more pleasure than defeating the eternal blaugrana rival.

In total, Piqué played more than 40 Clásicos across all competitions, delivering memorable performances both at Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabéu. He always showed courage in ball distribution, was imperial in defensive duels, and was involved in the high press that characterized Barça during its golden era.

On a personal level, his ambition also led him to succeed outside of soccer... with his involvement in the business world and projects like the Kings League.

Since his retirement in November 2022, Piqué remains closely linked to the sports world, although his figure is still very present in the memory of all the culers. Gerard Piqué will always be remembered as a brave, provocative, competitive, and winning captain, especially on the big days against Real Madrid, where his competitive spirit excelled the brightest.
