Ferran Torres is left without a place after learning about Deco's plan for a top-level signing

Barça is already starting to plan for the future and is studying a possible signing that could change the team's course

Ferran Torres has proven to be a footballer in constant evolution; every time he steps onto the field, he makes the most of the minutes Hansi Flick gives him and does well.

His adaptability, mobility, and goal-scoring instinct have made him a valuable player. Flick trusts him, and Ferran delivers. The pressure and demands don't matter: when he plays, he earns his place.

His performance has improved match after match. At Barça, few doubt his quality, although the club's future planning could change his role.

Barça already thinks about the future

While Ferran fights for minutes, Barça looks ahead. Robert Lewandowski won't be there forever, and the club knows it will need a reliable replacement. That striker already has a name: Harry Kane, the English forward remains one of the most lethal goal scorers in the world.

At Bayern Munich, Kane has been a goal-scoring machine. In two seasons, he has played 98 matches, scoring 89 goals and providing 26 assists. His numbers are impressive: 1.17 goals per match and 0.90 goals per 90 minutes, even surpassing Erling Haaland at Manchester City.

Kane, natural heir to Lewandowski

Barça sees Kane as the ideal successor to Lewandowski. Although Kane is under contract until 2027 and is worth about €75 million, his situation could favor Barça. If Bayern doesn't renew Kane, he could leave for a lower fee in 2026, similar to what happened with Lewandowski in 2022.

Then, Barça would try to sign him for about €60 million, an amount they initially planned to invest in Nico Williams. The story seems to repeat itself: Lewandowski pressured Bayern with a final contract year and forced his move to Barça. Kane could follow a similar path.

The salary obstacle

The main challenge would be the salary. Kane earns around €25 million gross per year, a figure similar to Lewandowski's. However, with a more consolidated squad and Barça's strengthened finances, negotiating a similar salary could be viable.

Kane's arrival would change the squad's dynamics. Ferran Torres, despite his quality and commitment, could see his prominence reduced. The competition would be tougher than ever.

Ferran Torres keeps growing, but Barça is already thinking about the long-term future. Harry Kane is a clear target to replace Lewandowski, and his signing could relegate Ferran to a secondary role.

The English striker promises goals, experience, and leadership. Meanwhile, Ferran will have to keep proving he deserves minutes, even as Kane's shadow draws ever closer.
