Fabrizio Romano confirms Barça's third signing after Joan García and Nico Williams

Barça speeds up its renewal plan with young talent and completes its third signing for next season

Barcelona is undergoing a full renewal process. The sports management, led by Deco and backed by Laporta, has decided to bet on youth, potential, and smart signings.

Everything began with the arrival of Joan García to strengthen the goalkeeping position. Then, the interest in Nico Williams, which is getting closer to being finalized, raised expectations, but they didn't stop there. Barça has accelerated a third move in the market, which is already practically closed.

An early signing to avoid surprises

Although the club's number one priority is still Nico Williams, the sports management has decided to get ahead of the competition and finalize a signing that was planned for later. The reason? The fear that other major European clubs would offer better financial terms.

The operation has been quick, discreet, and very strategic. The deal is done, and the player will be officially presented in the coming days, after passing medical tests and signing his contract.

A Swedish gem to strengthen the attack

We're talking about a young 19-year-old winger who has shined at FC Copenhagen, Roony Bardghji. His contract was ending this year, which allowed a favorable deal for Barça: €2 million fixed, add-ons, and 15% of a future sale.

Roony Bardghji fits perfectly with the club's new policy: young talent, reasonable cost, and room for growth. Barça discovered him in March 2023 during the Pinatar international tournament, when he was still 17 years old. His performance with Sweden's under-21 national team was impactful enough to put him directly on the blaugrana agenda.

Fast, left-footed, and with a competitive character

What the Barça sports department liked most was his speed, dribbling ability, and competitive character. He plays as an inverted winger on the right, although he can also move inside. He's left-footed, technical, and has a lot of personality in one-on-one situations, a profile that's rare.

His signing is intended as an ideal complement for Lamine Yamal. Hansi Flick, the new blaugrana coach, considers him a useful piece for rotations and a reliable substitute in a demanding position. In November, he'll turn 20 years old and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is already around €7.5 million.

Competition in the attack tightens

With this move, plus the possible arrival of Nico Williams, Barça's attack is starting to get very crowded. Players like Lamine, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo, or Lewandowski will now be joined by new faces.

This will also have internal consequences. Some names like Ansu Fati, Pau Víctor, or Pablo Torre could be left without a spot in the first team if they don't take a step forward.
