Confirmed! Surprise Exit at Barça and Pedri is Left Alone: ‘Arabia Offers €50M’

Al-Ittihad improves its offer and his continuity at Barça is in doubt

Barça is planning for the next season and intends to make significant changes to its squad, and the main uncertainty lies with Frenkie de Jong. His future is once again in doubt as his contract ends in 2026, and his renewal seems to be underway. However, a last-minute offer could change all the plans since Saudi Arabia has returned to the fray, to the point of having improved its proposal.

Pedri stands alone: Saudi Arabia offers 50M for Frenkie de Jong

The latest reports indicate that Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Arabian team, has decided to raise its offer to 50 million euros. The interest is real, to the point that their sporting director, Ramon Planes, has identified him as their priority for next summer.

If he accepts this offer, Frenkie de Jong would completely change his environment, but he would maintain or improve a salary that has been a headache for Barça. Right now, no team in Europe wants to pay him the same as he earns in Barcelona, something that could be fulfilled in Saudi Arabia. It is a firm proposal, which seems it could convince all parties if a key condition is met.

Frenkie de Jong to Saudi Arabia: Only one condition

Barça's priority is to renew De Jong's contract, which ends in 2026. At the moment, it seemed that the talks were progressing positively, although with Saudi Arabia's approach, everything could change.

If Frenkie de Jong doesn't accept the offer to renew by June, the Catalan club would seriously consider selling him. They do not want to prolong the situation over time, much less reach his last contract year without a decision made. Al-Ittihad remains on standby, while the Dutchman is not entirely convinced.

During the upcoming month of May, De Jong will turn 28 and has regained his form. He is in a good moment in his career, having regained his starting position with Hansi Flick on the bench. He is happy at Barça after a long time, and all this will depend on how the negotiations for his renewal progress from now until the following June.

Frenkie de Jong is considering it, Barça remains on standby, meanwhile in Saudi Arabia, Al-Ittihad has many millions ready to convince all parties involved.
