Hansi Flick and Deco in a serious conversation with a dark background.

Confirmed after Betis: Flick Gives the OK and Deco Negotiates His Departure

He doesn't have the coach's confidence at FC Barcelona and a new destination is being sought for him

The decision is made at FC Barcelona: Ansu Fati won't finish the season wearing the blue and garnet jersey. It was clear in the match against Betis, where he was left out of the team for the third consecutive game. There were the two in the Super Cup and this one in Copa del Rey. He doesn't have Hansi Flick's confidence, who has already given Deco the green light to find him a way out in the winter market.

At Barça,  the idea is clear: find him a loan so he can get minutes from now until the end of the season. However, the situation is not easy at all. He has a salary that's too high, which is causing many teams to back off. Also, everyone knows about his fragile physical condition, which has been hindering him in recent years.

Until now, he seemed to have a pretty clear destination, but it has fallen through due to recent events: Sevilla. García Pimienta had requested Ansu Fati for the remainder of the season, and it seemed like the ideal loan, but Barça has vetoed this destination. They didn't like his stance in the Olmo case, nor with Negreira.

Relations with Sevilla are completely broken and Deco has been instructed to find him a different destination for a loan. Madrid-Barcelona has learned that  the plan is for him to continue playing in LaLiga for the rest of the season. It won't be easy at all, however. Ansu Fati signed with salary conditions that not all teams in Spain can match.

Ansu Fati and an Offer Outside of Spain: Surprise Destination?

It's clear that Ansu Fati has sparked interest, even outside Spain, which could be a beneficial change, although it's not FC Barcelona's main plan. In a less media-focused environment, he would have time and peace to grow. This unexpected turn could be what he needs to rediscover his best level.

Ansu Fati's entourage is carefully analyzing this offer, which, according to sources, comes from a league like the Italian one, away from the spotlight. Although leaving Barça is a complex step, it could be key for his development. The focus is on ensuring his talent isn't wasted.

The destination that could welcome Ansu Fati is Como, from the Italian Serie A, led by Cesc Fàbregas. The former Barça player, now a coach, sees Ansu Fati as the key piece for his project. Fàbregas believes the young player has much to offer in a less demanding environment. Como presents itself as an attractive alternative for Ansu Fati, away from the spotlight of the big stages. The idea is for the forward to play without the constant pressure of major titles. For Fàbregas, this would allow him to regain confidence and showcase his full potential.

We'll have to wait, but Hansi Flick has already been clear: He doesn't count on Ansu Fati. Deco is desperately looking for a new destination for him.
