Complaint against Iñaki and Nico Williams: both are charged with fraud

Open court case: Iñaki and Nico Williams under scrutiny

While Spanish soccer is preparing for a new season full of sporting challenges, an off-field story is shaking two of its most high-profile players.

The summer seemed calm for the Williams brothers. However, in recent hours, a legal matter has erupted that has caused great concern at Athletic Club and its circle.

Nico Williams and his brother Iñaki have been publicly named by the Navarre-based company OMNIGESTION 24 SLU. This company has decided to take them before the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 2 of Aoiz with a criminal complaint.

A Navarre-based company takes action

According to the newspaper Noticias de Navarra, both footballers are now officially listed as defendants, meaning they are under judicial investigation for these events.

Likewise, their aunt, Mary Princefripomaah, and a certain Houssni Talhaoui Ichouyab, who acted as an intermediary, would also be involved.

According to the complaint, the Williams brothers allegedly participated in a supposed fraudulent scheme to keep a Mercedes AMG E63 vehicle, purchased by OMNIGESTION 24 SLU in Belgium for €77,000. In Spain, its value is between €130,000 and €230,000.

According to the report, the brothers and Talhaoui Ichouyab agreed to exchange the Mercedes AMG E63 for a CLA 45, owned by the Williams brothers. A sale was simulated with their aunt, who supposedly acted as the buyer of the vehicle, although she was insolvent. The goal would have been to make it difficult for OMNIGESTION to recover the car, according to Diario de Navarra.

The silence of the Williams brothers' circle

The people involved didn't complete the legal process to change the ownership of the vehicles nor did they deliver the promised Mercedes CLA 45. This caused financial harm to OMNIGESTION 24 SLU.

The complaint has been accepted. The case is scheduled for January 2026, at which time all those involved will have to testify as defendants.

For now, neither Nico nor Iñaki Williams have wanted to comment on the case. Nor has their circle or Athletic Club, which has chosen to remain silent while waiting for the legal process to move forward.

Despite the seriousness of the accusations, the footballers' circle is conveying calm. They are convinced that they'll be able to prove that there is no crime.

The problem, however, goes beyond the legal process itself. The image of both players could be damaged if the complaint moves forward and it is confirmed that there was some kind of irregularity.

When Nico Williams was in the spotlight for his future at San Mamés, this scandal tarnishes the good moment he was experiencing.

The case could drag on

Sources close to the court consulted by Noticias de Navarra indicate that the proceedings could take several months. In this type of case, the investigation is usually slow and depends on the complexity of the evidence and testimonies.

What is clear is that the Williams brothers will have to answer to the justice system. The accusation is serious and, although every defendant has the right to the presumption of innocence, the media pressure has already skyrocketed.

The case has moved from the offices to the headlines. It threatens to become one of the scandals of the year in Spanish soccer.
