Former Spanish assisting referee Rafa Guerrero is in charge of passing judgment on El Chiringuito regarding the controversial plays in LaLiga.
Rafa Guerrero shed light on the more than reasonable doubts caused by Uche's hold on Koundé. The play corresponds to the latest Getafe-Barcelona match.
"This Hold is Not a Penalty"
The hold on Koundé inside the area was evident. Rafa Guerrero, however, knows that on Josep Pedrerol's show they try to paint things white more than anyone else.
Any reasoning is valid to prevent Barça from being harmed by the referees in their narrative.
In this case, even Pedrerol asked if holds are allowed, highlighting his knowledge of the rules. He also highlighted his desire to find an argument to deny the existence of a penalty that could have granted Barça two more points.
However, Rafa Guerrero was there to shed light on the matter: "This can never be called a penalty for this holding."
He argued: "One wants to break free and the other clearly holds him. But the other holds him too."
"Barça's Number 20 is Committing a Foul"
He commented further: "The Technical Committee of Referees advises, in case of these holds, to know if somehow the hold prevents him from heading."
Rafa Guerrero then asks: "Does it prevent him from heading this ball?" A voice is heard: "Isn't Barça's number 20 committing a foul?"
It seemed like the heavens opened for those who systematically deny any harm to Barça.
Rafa Guerrero continues: "They are both holding each other. This can never be called a penalty for this hold."
Conclusion: "Did the hold prevent him from heading? No." Matter solved. Word of Rafa Guerrero.
El Chiringuito Paints it White
It seems that holding inside the area may not be a penalty. Maybe that's why none have been called against Rüdiger. In case of a flagrant hold, the referee interprets that he wasn't reaching the ball and moves on.
A hold outside the area means a yellow card. However, inside the area, according to Rafa Guerrero, it may not even be a foul... if Barça is involved.
El Chiringuito Paints it whiter. They are the best.
Joan Laporta spoke this morning of "disgrace" and "scandal" in that same play. However, the sociological Madridism has taken it upon themselves to discredit him. It didn't deserve a penalty.
