Barça's Response to Javier Tebas After the Veto of Vitor Roque: 'we're Going To...'

Barça seeks a legal solution to complete the signing of Vitor Roque despite bureaucratic obstacles.

Vitor Roque's future has taken an unexpected turn in recent hours. What seemed like an imminent signing by FC Barcelona and Palmeiras has been left in the air due to an unexpected obstacle posed by LaLiga. This situation has triggered a firm response from the Culers, who are seeking quick solutions to salvage the operation.

LaLiga's Veto: A Blow to the Negotiations

The latest news that shook the halls of Spotify Camp Nou was the veto imposed by LaLiga on Vitor Roque's transfer. According to the competition's regulations, the Brazilian forward would have to break his loan with Real Betis before being re-registered by Barça. However, the problem lies in the fact that the transfer window is closed in Spain, and Betis can't return the player to Barcelona at this time.

This complicates the situation, as Palmeiras can't sign Roque on loan due to his current registration with Betis in LaLiga. The agreement between Barça and Roque seemed to be breaking, leading to thoughts that the saga would end in failure.

Barça's Plan: A Legal Solution

Despite the difficulties, Barça is not giving up. The club is already working on a strategy to try to bring the operation to a successful conclusion.

According to Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona has turned to FIFA in search of a solution to the crisis. Barcelona and Roque's agents found a "gray area" to transfer him to Palmeiras without registering him in LaLiga.

Barça is also considering the option of Roque remaining on loan at Betis until the end of the season. This would allow Palmeiras to sign Roque in an extra window enabled by FIFA for the 2025 Club World Cup clubs.

This window will open between June 1 and 10, but Barça prefers to close the deal beforehand to avoid unnecessary risks. "We're going to talk to UEFA and FIFA."

Optimism at Camp Nou

Although the scenario remains complicated, optimism at FC Barcelona persists. Barcelona is confident in reaching an agreement before February 28, when the market closes in Brazil.

If realized, Barça would receive 25 million euros for 80% of Roque's rights, recovering part of their investment. The operation would give Barcelona the salary margin to renew Íñigo Martínez and Lamine Yamal.
