The signing of Robert Lewandowski in 2022 already strained relations between FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The Polish striker arrived as the big star, and the Bavarian club didn't hide its discomfort with how the deal was closed.
Now, history could repeat itself. Harry Kane stands out on Barça's agenda, the main offensive reference for Bayern and one of the most complete strikers in Europe.
Such a move wouldn't go unnoticed. If Lewandowski's signing left scars at the time, going after Kane could further cool the ties between two historic clubs. However, at Camp Nou, they seem willing to take the risk.

Harry Kane, goal guarantee
Talking about Harry Kane is talking about effectiveness. He was a legend at Tottenham and at Bayern he already confirmed his status as a world-class star. Last season, he recorded 26 goals and 9 assists in the Bundesliga, proving his ability to be decisive in any scenario.
At 32 years old, Kane remains an elite piece. He has a contract until 2027, but his age and the possibility that Bayern may consider a replacement could open the door for his exit. For Barça, he'd be a safe bet: experience, immediate goals, and a lower cost than the €75 million of his valuation.
Lewandowski's natural replacement
Robert Lewandowski has a contract with Barcelona until June 2026, but everything suggests he won't renew. His arrival meant a leap in quality for the attack, with true star numbers: over 100 goals since he started wearing the blaugrana jersey. Even so, the board is looking to the future and believes that a high-profile replacement must be planned in advance.
In this context, Harry Kane fits perfectly. Both he and Lewandowski share characteristics: goal-scoring instinct, aerial play, intelligent movement inside the box, and remarkable consistency. In addition, Kane could benefit from the young talent emerging at Barça; players like Raphinha or Lamine Yamal would be ideal partners to supply him with balls.
A career marked by goals, but not by titles
If there's one thing that's accompanied Kane throughout his career, it's goals. In the Premier League, he dominated year after year, and with England, he also left his mark: top scorer at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and co-top scorer at Euro 2024.
But the Englishman carries a thorn. In 15 years of his career, he has only lifted two team trophies, both recently with Bayern: the Bundesliga and the German Super Cup.
For a player of his level, that trophy cabinet is lacking. Joining Barça would allow him to aim for something bigger: Champions League, La Liga, and the prominence his career still deserves.
A risky but necessary bet
Barça knows that repeating the move it made with Lewandowski could bring controversy. The Polish striker arrived at 33 years old for €45 million, and the result, at least in numbers, has been brilliant. With Kane, the story could repeat itself.
The cost would be between €55 and €60 million, a high but reasonable price for a reliable striker. Joan Laporta and Deco are looking for a statement signing, and Kane represents exactly that: experience, goals, and leadership.
